Semi-Weekly Reflection 25 May 2017

I gave it my all. I consistently tried to succeed.

Self-Assessment: The 2 previous weeks have been really peaceful as all of my exams are done. I was able to focus on coding without any concern nor problem.

In review: I only worked on coding bat java. For the previous weeks, I learnt what functions are, more deeply, and also tried to do some map exercises. In terms of functions, I learnt things quickly but I couldn’t embrace the map exercises properly. I still would need to work on the map exercises.

Goal Reflection: As it was my last 2 weeks, I’ve been feeling quite drowsy the whole weeks. Yet I was able to be focused in class and actually do the work. I am satisfied with that at this moment of the senior year.

Goal: Thank you for what you taught me for the year, Mr.Miller.

Semi-Weekly Reflection 11 May 2017

I gave it my all. I consistently tried to succeed.

Self-Assessment: The 2 previous weeks have been quite busy, I believe I missed perhaps two or more classes because I had to take the IB examinations. Although missed a few classes, I have been working on coding as long as I stayed in class.

In review: Not working on gnimmargorp anymore except for the codex, I only work on coding bat java. For the previous weeks, I tried to work on some loop and recursive problems. I couldn’t do them by myself initially thus I watched some youtube videos to actually learn them. Plus, I have worked on a lot of functional coding skills.

Goal Reflection: As I completed few works from coding bat and have succeed on learning recursive and loop functions, which I used to feel uncomfortable (not confident) using, I consider the previous 2 weeks’ works have been quite successful.

Goal: The next 2 weeks will be my very last weeks of entire high school years. I won’t be able to come few classes due to AP and IB exams, however I will still be on task when I’m in classes and try to learn as much coding skills.

Semi-Weekly Reflection 26 April 2017

I gave it my all. I consistently tried to succeed.

Self-Assessment: For the previous 2 weeks, since last week was spring break and this week, we only had 2 classes, I couldn’t done much of the work but still I have tried my best in terms of doing java activities.

In review: Although similar to the previous week, no additional project has been done from gnimmargorp, and about less than 5 additional questions were done in coding bat. However this is not because I wasn’t doing my work but merely because we did not have much time to work on.

Imagery: (Since the image is quite similar to the previous week’s, I am not posting) (but if you want to see, you can write a comment down).

Goal Reflection: The goal for the previous 2 weeks (only 2 classes in fact) was to work on java activities. Since I have been working on java coding during those classes, I achieved the goal.

Goal: Even though I do not have to take the final exam, as it is my final month of 4 high school years, I will make sure to learn many things and try my ‘personal’ best for the good end. I will be keep working on java, rarely work on python to remind myself, and be prepared for further computer coding in college.

Semi-Weekly Reflection 6 April 2017

I gave it my all. I consistently tried to succeed.

Self-Assessment: This week, I only worked on java, not python. For python, I have completed about 80% of the java warm-ups.

In review: Similar to the previous week, no additional project has been done from gnimmargorp, but a lot of activities have been done in coding bat this week as well. With all the python activities done, I was able to fully concentrate on java activities. I have completed about 30 activities this week and thus got familiar with the language and the way how it works differently from python.

Imagery:

Goal Reflection: My goal for the current 2 weeks was to concentrate on java. I have succeed in learning java and in familiarizing the language via the warm-up java activities. Specifically, I realized about java having the difference between “=” and “equals()” and I have reduced the number of making mistakes due to “;” which is frequently necessary for end of each line. By making mistakes and realizing differences from python, I learnt many things about java coding.

Goal: The goal for the next two weeks is exactly the same as that for the previous 2 weeks. To be fully concentrated on java and familiarizing the language. To be more specific, I am planning to complete all the warm-ups for java and to even complete level 1’s of string, array, and logic if possible.

Semi-Weekly Reflection 23 March 2017

I gave it my all. I consistently tried to succeed.

Self-Assessment: For this week, I continued to work on coding bat and finally all of the python activities are completed, I feel satisfied.

In review: No additional project has been done from gnimmargorp, but relatively a lot of activities have been done in coding bat this week. Not only new activities, but to remind myself I returned to the older completed tasks as well and worked on those too. As python is entirely completed, I would be more focused on java for the following 2 weeks or more.

Goal Reflection: As my previous goal was to complete the password generator and to keep on working java and python activities on coding bat, I have achieved my previous 2 weeks’ goals. As I even reviewed the previously-completed activities, my skills in coding are getting better and I am becoming faster in coding. The following activities will keep help me learn new techniques and ways of approaching problem

Goal: Not much difference from the previous goal, the goal for the next two weeks is to continue working on projects from coding bat. Since python is now completed, I will concentrate on java.

Semi-Weekly Reflection 2 March 2017

Semi-Weekly Reflection 2 March 2017

I gave it my all. I consistently tried to succeed.

Self-Assessment: For this week, I occasionally worked on coding bat and mostly on the password generator project.

In review: No additional project has been done from gnimmargorp, and so as from codingbat.com, as I complete more and  more tasks, they get more difficult that it takes longer time and deeper thinking to finish them. For now, I am working on password generator and about to complete linking the person typing the length of the password and the length the program generates. It was indeed slightly harder than I initially thought.

Imagery:

Goal Reflection: The previous goals were to work on HTML codings and java from codingbat.com but instead I chose to continue working on python by working on this new project and some assignments from codingbat.com, even though the accomplishments were different from what I thought, it is worth in other ways.

Goal: The goal for the next two weeks is to perfectly complete the password generator, and to continue working on projects from coding bat. For now, I would just like to focus on python and java.

Semi-Weekly Reflection February 16, 2017

Semi-Weekly Reflection 16 Feb 2017

I gave it my all. I consistently tried to succeed.

Self-Assessment: For this week, I worked on coding bat and a little bit on gnimmargorp projects.

In review: While I completed one additional project from village of cigol (python) on “herd tags,” mostly I worked on coding-bat.com python. I recently not worked on java at all but concentrated on python only. I realized a deeper meaning in recursive functions and became faster in establishing codes, I think.

Goal Reflection: My goal was to keep continue working on coding bat projects and mastering them consistently, as I started to finish up more difficult tasks, I learnt how to use new techniques more precisely and concisely.

Goal: The goal for the next two weeks is to wrap up python tasks on coding bat and begin not only Java but also to start learning other programming languages such as PHP or to continue HTML. Codingbat.com and w3schools.com will be much help for me.

Semi-Weekly Reflection 31 Jan 2017

Semi-Weekly Reflection 31 Jan 2017

I gave it my all. I consistently tried to succeed.

Self-Assessment: This week, I only worked on coding bat.

In review: I have only done one small project from gnimmargorp this whole week, but made a lot of progress in coding bat. I understood how recursive and roop function work and how to apply them.

Imagery:

URL: coding bat.com

Goal Reflection: My prior goal, in general, was to keep working on the coding bat projects, and to keep exploring new coding skills on python and in other languages as well. I have succeed in accomplishing those goals.

Goal: The goal for the next two weeks is to continue to work on Java via coding bat.com: I will be likely to work on the warm-up sections for next week and then work on level 1 of string, array, and logic for the subsequent week. For Python, I just need to fully understand the recursive and rooping functions.

Semi-Weekly Reflection 18 Jan 2017

I gave it my all. I consistently tried to succeed.

Self-Assessment: I have been doing codings related to my Loyo Large, and have been working on coding bat.com.

In review: I have not done any of the projects from gnimmargorp this whole week, instead I have been trying to do some works on java on coding bat.com. Furthermore, I have been trying to apply some new CSS codes to my personal project.

Imagery:

URL: http://w3schools.com

Goal Reflection: My prior goal, in general, was to keep working on the projects which started since the winter break, and to keep working on the assignments on coding bat.com. I have succeed in accomplishing those goals.

Goal: The goal for the next two weeks is to continue to work on coding bat.com and to return to python once again to recall my memories in the old projects.

LOYO, Large

Write about this experience on your blog. Make it a substantial entry, reflecting the substantial amount of work you put into the learning

First of all, during the winter break and plus a few days after school started, I have learnt how to use HTML coding. Sometimes with my friend, but mostly I learnt it by myself using the website he told me (http://www.w3schools.com/html/default.asp). I wanted to learn this coding language as my friend (the one who told me about this website) started to make a website. As I got involved into the website project with him as well, I had to and wanted to know HTML for website management and its design; additionally, I had to know CSS coding for the design. The coding language that I learnt would be helpful in understanding the digital world and in creating a system or program whenever one is needed.

http://www.w3schools.com/html/default.asp   <<<< This is just the home website but I have completed all the exercises with their instructions at the left bar.

These are some codings for the website mentioned (I cannot reveal the whole coding for informational security reasons)
